RTCC: Ride to Conquer Cancer – Ep. 1: Starting Over

I’m excited to finally be able to share this news with everyone! This is unofficially the year of challenging myself, and stepping out of my comfort zone. So with that being said, I’m proud to announce that this year I’ll be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer!

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a two day event in which thousands of riders challenge themselves to a bike ride of 200km, to support the BC Cancer Foundation.

This year I’m committed to raising $2,750 for the Leukemia, Lymphoma & Blood Disorders cancer fund. This particular fund is especially near and dear to my heart because my husband is a cancer survivor himself and conquered leukemia. So this is one of the ways that I’m honoring his own fight, as well as the millions of others who have also won the fight, or are currently battling themselves.

I was thinking of ways to make this entire journey more interesting, and again with the theme of stepping out of my comfort zone, I decided to blog/vlog about the entire process. From training, to fundraising, and everything in between.

Episode 1 is currently uploaded here, and you’ll see that sometimes starting out is the most difficult part in which you’re bound to encounter some roadblocks along the way:

Thank you for the support you have shown me on this blog, and if you would like to support the BC Cancer Foundation and my journey please visit my personal fundraising page here
